I made this site because it's a test grade, and I forgot the password to my old one, so here you go. The testudo, or the Roman tortoise, was prevalent in the Grapes of Wrath because the tortoise formation of the Roman army was used as protection from projectiles, and in the Grapes of Wrath, it represented everybody working together to defend one another from their enemies.
